Around 7:05 p.m., a 49-year-old motorcyclist from Ruppichteroth lost control of his machine in a right-hand bend. This happened between Gebermühle and the junction to Weegen.

Fortunately, the driver was able to free himself from the vehicle and only suffered minor injuries. The motorcyclist, on the other hand, suffered serious injuries, but according to the police investigations, he had got away relatively lightly due to his good protective clothing.rescue workers, including an emergency doctor and the crews of two ambulances, were quickly on site to supply the injured. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in Siegburg, while the driver was transported to a hospital in Troisdorf. The Lohmar volunteer fire brigade secured the scene of the accident and cleaned the road from leaked operating materials. Due to the accident recording, federal road 507 had to be closed for about two hours.
accidents like this are reminiscent of the importance of safety precautions in road traffic. Motorcyclists are particularly at risk and, as in this case, wearing protective clothing can be crucial for the severity of the injuries. The authorities appeal to all road users to exercise caution, especially on winding routes.
