Eurowings extends summer flight schedule to these goals
The airline Eurowings has significantly expanded its route network at Cologne/Bonn Airport at the main travel time. New direct connections to popular holiday destinations are now available, which offer travelers a larger selection. This initiative comes at the right time because the travel season is in full swing and the demand for flight trips increases.
The new travel destinations include Bastia, Porto, Klagenfurt and Erbil. These destinations were specially selected to meet the needs of passengers and offer both cultural and scenic attractions. The increasing number of stationed machines at the airport, now 17, testifies to the increase in flight capacities and the strategic importance of the location for the airline.
Since May 1, 2025, Eurowings has been taking regular flights to Porto, followed by Klagenfurt on May 2 and Erbil on May 7th. Already in April the route to Bastia in Corsica was introduced, which offers travelers a pleasant opportunity to enjoy the island's Mediterranean atmosphere. In addition, the connection to Funchal on Madeira is continued, which in the past was only available in the winter season.
The adapted flight schedule provides for a frequency of three times a week to Porto and twice a week to Funchal. Klagenfurt is flown on Mondays and Fridays, while the connection to Bastia is made on Saturdays. Erbil can now be reached directly on Wednesdays, which significantly improves the travel options in the region.
The extensions in the summer flight schedule of Eurowings reflect the efforts of the airline to offer passengers a varied travel offer and at the same time react to the growing demand in aviation. With these new goals, Eurowings is established as an important airline for travelers from Cologne/Bonn Airport and contributes to strengthening the tourist connection in the region.
