New urban accommodation in Troisdorf: Modernization and future investments on Bonner and Godesberger Straße
The city of Troisdorf plans to replace ramshackle municipal accommodations on Bonn and Godesberger Straße with a new building. Currently, the existing accommodations can accommodate 30 homeless and 60 refugees, but the new building will double the capacity to accommodate a total of 180 people. The replacement building, which is expected to cost 7.6 million euros, will be created according to the plans of the Troisdorf architect Joachim Kneutgen before entering the construction depot.
The Troisdorfer Immobiliengesellschaft Gerling & Schütz has received the construction contract according to a multi -stage selection process. The visible start of construction is planned for July, with the establishment of residential containers as a preliminary replacement accommodation for 60 refugees on the building yard area. The demolition of the old accommodations is to begin about a month later. The construction period is estimated for one year, and after completion, people from the containers and the second accommodation on Godesberger Straße will be able to move into the new building.
The four -storey new building is built in wooden frame construction and only have single rooms that are barrier -free. The flexible light construction walls between the rooms enable versatile use. The building has already been advertised as a "multifunctional building" and could also be rented as an office building.
