New café with vintage charm: Siegers Kiosk Café in Bonn opened in the renovated pavilion
The restaurateur couple Regina and Stephan Sieger opened the “Siegers Kiosk Café” in Bonn in January 2023 as the new beginning after the loss of their bars due to the flood at the Ahr in July 2021. The café is located in a pavilion from the 1950s on the local border between Lengsdorf and Duisdorf. Originally they shared the pavilion with a hairdressing salon, which, however, moved out, so that the winners took over the entire pavilion, removed the partition and converted the kiosk into a cozy café with table operation. The official opening took place on April 8th.
In the "Siegers Kiosk Café", an old pharmacy cabinet from the 1930s and a suitable counter impresses, while vintage furniture from the 1950s is combined with industrial furniture. The dining room is flooded with a all-round window front, which means that guests can watch the hustle and bustle on the street. The terrace offers space for another 30 guests. On the menu of the café, classic snack dishes such as currywurst with fries or schaschlik fries, as well as creative variations such as fries with truffle may and parmesan. Wraps with various fillings and hearty crepes are also on offer. A variety of sauces are also offered, including Sweet Chilimayo and Belgian Andalouse sauce.
The café's drinks menu includes cappuccino, fresh mint tea, homemade lemonades and smoothies. Regina and Stephan Sieger, tastings and cabaret evenings plan to include their gastro concept for the future. "Siegers Kiosk Café" is located at Feldpütz 3 (corner of Schiefelingsweg) in Bonn and is open from Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There is a day of rest on Saturdays, unless events or closed companies take place.
