Press release from 10.05.2025
An emergency doctor has a significant impact on rail traffic in the Hennef region (Sieg). Travelers currently have delays and train failures. The exact duration of the blocking cannot currently be specified, which is why the situation remains unclear.
The regional express line RE 9, which normally runs from Cologne Central Station, ends and begins in Troisdorf. Trains from Siegen Hauptbahnhof only stop in Eitorf, which leads to partial failures between Troisdorf and Eitorf. Impairments can also be expected on the route between Cologne Central Station and Eitorf.
In S-Bahn traffic, lines S 12 and S 19 are affected. Trains from the direction of Cologne Central Station in Siegburg/Bonn, while trains that drive out of Au (victory) only reach Blankenberg (victory). Therefore, there are extensive restrictions and possibly short -term train failures.
In order to offer the affected passengers, a replacement of rails was set up with four buses. These run between Siegburg/Bonn and Blankenberg (victory), organized by the companies Dominguez, University of Reisen and Van Heel. Travelers are advised to regularly find out about changes in the train run to ensure the best possible travel planning.
The emergency doctor's operation is expected to be ended around 2 p.m. In the meantime, rail traffic in the Hennef (Sieg) region remains severely impaired. The responsible authorities are working to clarify the situation as quickly as possible and to restore regular operation.
