Emergency in the air: Lufthansa-Airbus has to be in need in Frankfurt

An Airbus A350-900 of the German airline Lufthansa had to cancel the flight on Friday, shortly after the start at 7.20 p.m. in Munich. The Lufthansa crew suddenly noticed smoke in the bord kitchen, which led to the precautionary intermediate landing in Frankfurt. The flight LH474 on the way from Munich to Montreal had 255 passengers and 12 crew members on board when the incident entered.

The plane has just reached its travel flight near Frankfurt when the crew reported an emergency in the cabin. For security reasons, Lufthansa crew decided to cancel the flight and carry out an emergency landing at Frankfurt Airport. The rapid decision of the pilot and the team led to a secure drop in the travel level, which required a "TCAS" due to the high traffic volume in airspace via Frankfurt.

The airport fire brigade was immediately alert, while the A350 landed safely in Frankfurt. After an inspection of rescue workers, the plane was able to roll safely on the apron. Since the rest of the flight and the return flight LH-475, were immediately canceled, the passengers had to leave the Airbus. Despite the incident, nobody was injured.

The passengers were rebooked on alternative flights to Montreal, while the exact cause of the fire in the on -board cabin is still unclear. After an extensive inspection in Frankfurt, the Airbus A350 returned to Munich Airport "Franz Josef Strauß" and, according to Lufthansa, is back after a thorough examination.
