Record editions for the armor form a stable foundation for modern defense ability. For a real “turnaround”, however, Germany needs a ability to take a matter of course.

The discussion about the increase in the budget for the Bundeswehr is more current than ever. In view of geopolitical tensions and a constantly changing global security environment, many countries, including Germany, have recognized the need to strengthen their military skills. However, a higher budget is only a decisive part of a more comprehensive strategy that also includes improving the infrastructure, recruitment of qualified personnel and the integration of new technologies.

A systematic review of the defense strategy is necessary in order to not only provide financial means, but also to ensure that these funds are used efficiently. This requires close cooperation between government agencies, military and industry.
