Pascal Siemens will take over new management in the Office for Environmental and Consumer Protection

Cologne, April 29, 2025- The economist Pascal Siemens is intended as the successor to Konrad Peschen for the management of the Office for Environmental and Consumer Protection in Cologne. Mayor Henriette Reker plans to contribute a corresponding proposal to the main committee on May 5, 2025. The change in the office is planned for June 1, 2025, as Peschen will retire at that time.

Mayor Reker emphasizes that Siemens with his extensive management skills and his experience in administration are ideal for the demanding task. His knowledge in the field of environmental law and his many years of commitment to volunteering make him an ideal candidate. In her opinion, Reker emphasizes how important the view of volunteers in environmental and animal welfare is for the future work of the office.

Siemens has already had several years of experience in the Cologne city administration. The Office for Environment and Consumer Protection in Cologne has around 300 employees and is responsible for numerous important tasks, including food surveillance, animal welfare and environmental planning.
