Easter joy in Cologne Zoo: animal offspring and exciting attractions
from petting zoo to dinoworld in Cologne zoo: an unforgettable Easter experience
On the occasion of the Easter holidays, the Cologne Zoo attracts large number of visitors. The zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and offers numerous attractions to inspire families and animal lovers. One of the main attractions is the Clemenshof Streichzoo, where the latest breeding successes, including African dwarf goats and moor swimming lambs, can be experienced up close.
The traditional Osterdorf "Lampeshausen" is also a highlight. Children and adults can hike around between spring-like floral jewelry and miniature trunk houses. On Easter Sunday and Monday, colorful eggs are distributed, while employees provide exciting information about egg -laying animals in the zoo.
The Cologne Zoo houses a variety of young animals these days. In addition to the goats already mentioned, Asian elephants such as the newly born bull "Taro" are also in the attraction. With his rapid weight gain and lively interactions with his playmate Sarinya, Taro delights the visitors.
This year the Cologne Zoo is reminiscent of its 165th anniversary and has planned special activities for this. Among other things, the “Cologne Ferris wheel” is offered, which stops until April 27th. In addition, the Dinoworld delights guests with life-size dinosaur figures and an innovative VR experience that enables visitors to dive into the time of the dinosaurs.
Tickets can be conveniently ordered online, whereby these are also considered a VRS ticket and enable visitors to travel without stress. Gift vouchers and animal sponsorships are also available to make the zoo visit a special experience for the whole family.
