Protest in Bonn: Two demonstrations on the day of liberation on May 8th

On Thursday, May 8, 2025, several demonstrations will take place in Bonn to commemorate the day of liberation. The local police have already informed about the planned events, which could result in a significant impairment of traffic. In addition to an announced assembly without an elevator, two additional demonstrations with lifts are provided.

Details on the demonstrations

The first event begins at 6 p.m. on the Bonn market square, where about 100 participants are expected. From there, the demonstration will lead through the city center, including the routes via Friedensplatz and Münsterplatz, before it ends at around 8:00 p.m.

At the same time, a second demonstration that is directed against fascism will also begin at 6 p.m. This mobilization is expected to attract around 200 people and follow another route through Bonn, which will lead to the Hofgarten and ends around 9:00 p.m.
