The Godesberger Motor Club wrestles with the city of Bonn to carry out its annual “Rhein on Flames”. For decades, the club has been offering its guests a special experience with delicious food, drinks and an impressive parade of classic cars. In the past few weeks, however, it looked like this traditional event could be in danger. Club chairman Hans-Georg Schäfer lived through a change of feelings, from hope to despair to trouble and resignation.

After supposed difficulties with permits on the part of the city of Bonn, it is now clear that the Caracciola Cup will still take place in the Drachensteinpark next Saturday. This decision came about after several discussions and disputes. It seems as if the motor club has found a solution despite all the obstacles to have its popular event takes place.
