Ruth Hieronymi: WDR-Rundfunkrats chairman died-a loss for radio

With the death of Ruth Hieronymi, public service broadcasting in Germany mourns a significant personality. The former chairman of the WDR-Rundfunkat died in Bonn at the age of 77. Hieronymi was a convinced advocate of the public service broadcast and headed the WDR supervisory committee from 2009 to 2016. Her political roots are in the CDU, where she worked as a member of the state parliament and vice parliamentary group leader from 1985 to 1999.
