Refurbishment of the sewer in the Leinpfad: Completion until mid -May in sight
sewer renovation in the low path before graduation
The renovation of the sewer in the Leinpfad in Bonn-Castell, which extends between the Legion path and the north bridge/A565, is just before the end. The responsible construction work is expected to be completed by mid -May 2025, which means a significant improvement in the infrastructure in this area.
The main collecting channel, which was built in 1933 and has a length of around 420 meters, is currently being renovated with a modern process, the so -called hose line. This process enables a 20 millimeter thick tube made of fiber -fiber -reinforced plastic to pull into the existing channel. This method is not only efficient, but also reduces the need for complex earthworks.
The investment costs for sewer renovation amount to around 1.8 million euros. This sum includes both material costs and the necessary working hours for the special procedure. Despite the challenge of delaying the construction work due to unexpected difficulties in installing the liner and by flooding the Rhine, the current progress shows that the completion of the project has now reached within reach.
After the success of the renovation work, the area will probably be accessible again for pedestrians and cyclists. Such measures are crucial for maintaining the urban infrastructure and contributing to improving the quality of life of the residents.
The channel renovation in the low path is part of a more comprehensive program for modernizing wastewater disposal in Bonn, which aims to protect the environment and increase the efficiency of the sewage system. This initiative is in accordance with the efforts of the city to find sustainable solutions for the development of urban rooms.
