Three injured after an accident on A565 at Bonn: roadway temporarily blocked

On Saturday afternoon there was a serious traffic accident on the A565 near Bonn in the direction of Cologne, which resulted in a temporary full closure of the road. Three people were injured in the incident, including a 13-year-old teenager.

According to the police, the accident happened at around 2 p.m. when two vehicles collided with each other shortly before the Bonn-Poppelsdorf departure. The force of the impact led to a car in which a 47-year-old woman and her daughter sat, overturned and landed on the roof.

Both occupants were trapped in their vehicle and could not free themselves. The alarmed rescue workers from the Lengsdorf volunteer fire brigade and the emergency services were necessary to save the mother-daughter duo from its predicament.

After a first aid on site, the injured were transported to nearby hospitals. The severity of your injuries is currently not known. The driver of the second vehicle involved, a 72-year-old woman, was able to free herself out of her car with minor injuries and was looked after on site.

To secure the scene of the accident, a temporary blocking of the road towards Cologne was necessary. Around 3 p.m., however, the traffic was able to flow again in the usual way after the scene of the accident was cleared.
