The junior class is aimed especially at children between the ages of seven and twelve.
The participants must pay attention to various specifications when building their soap box. All boxes must have at least four metal wheels or full rubber, and the steering must work on the front axle. In the open class, creative designs can be chosen, but also within certain technical requirements. The boxes must meet certain security conditions that also affect the equipment of the drivers; Wearing a helmet is mandatory.
On race day, the route will be prepared from 8:30 a.m. and the competition begins with a special process and time. The junior class measures the speed in several races and adds times; In contrast, the open class is based on the uniformity of the travel times. The award ceremonies are planned for the late afternoon, and visitors can expect an exciting event.
