Team 48 won the last away game of the season confidently in Bonn
On April 12, 2025, the 48 Hildesheim volleyball team competed for the last away game of the season at SSF Bonn. Despite personnel bottlenecks, which were caused by illness -related failures, the team showed an impressive performance and was able to clearly win the game. Particularly noteworthy was the idea of Ann-Christin Quade, who switched to the middle block at short notice and made a decisive contribution to success.
The first sentence began relatively balanced, with the hosts initially taking the lead with 8: 6. However, Team 48 reacted quickly, changed his way of playing and developed a 12: 8 lead. Despite the interim compensation of the Bonners, the Hildesheimers were able to win the set with 25:17, Nina Laudien achieved the decisive point.
The second sentence was much more exciting. Hildesheim had difficulties with the serves and the Bonn women were able to work out a lead. After a timeout, however, Team 48 found the game back and fought off several set balls to finally win the set with 31:29. This energy performance was crucial to secure the psychological advantage.
In the third set, the feeling of equality continued. Hildesheim finally took the lead with 14:11, but Bonn also fought vigorously and equalized to 18:18. Key moments were a few targeted attacks by Lina Köster, who decided the set with a 25:22 and thus the entire game 3-0 for Hildesheim.
The award for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) went to Lena Onnen, who contributed significantly to victory with their precise passing and strong serves. Team 48 catapults this important away encounter to fourth place in the 2nd Bundesliga North. The focus is already on the last home game of the season against Stralsund on April 26, 2025, where the team expects the support of its fans.
