Tragic accident shakes Bornheim: scooter collides with a tractor - driver fatally injured
In Bornheim, a tragic traffic accident occurred on Wednesday night, in which a 50-year-old man was fatally injured. The driver of a motor scooter collided with a tractor team that was controlled by a 33-year-old man. The accident occurred at around 00:05 on the Grünewaldstraße in the direction of Bornheim.
At this point, the tractor was on the road with a trailer on which eight people drove and several maypoles were invited. The scooter went to the team in a slightly illuminated section, whose taillights were covered by the treetops. The driver of the scooter suffered the serious injuries and died despite primary care from accident witnesses and medical staff in a clinic.The Grünewaldstrasse had to be closed for the accident recording, in which an accident recording team from the Cologne police were also involved. Traffic commissioner 2 has taken over the investigation into the tragic incident.
