Unsteady April weather in the southwest: rain, pattern and snow expected
Stuttgart (dpa/lsw) - The weather in the southwest will be cool and unstable in the coming days, with rain, pouring and snow in the mountains, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Wednesday. Meteorologists expect snowfall at altitudes over 1000 meters and smoothness from 700 to 800 meters.
Despite the storm on Tuesday night, the streets in the southwest remained calm the following night. The police did not report any major weather -related events. A spokesman for the police in Karlsruhe only reported a few fallen branches, which represented the aftermath of the storm from the previous day.
Wednesday, according to the DWD meteorologist, will be heavily cloudy, accompanied by numerous showers-snow in the mountains, otherwise rain or pub. In the afternoon, thunderstorms can also occur. The temperatures range between three and eleven degrees. It will be regionally windy, even stormy in higher locations.
Thursday promises similarly inconsistent weather. It will be changing to strongly cloudy, with other showers during the day, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms. The temperatures are between two and eleven degrees. On the night of Friday there is a risk of smoothing.
