Verdi strike places local transport in Baden-Württemberg Lahm

The Verdi strike in public transport from seven large cities in Baden-Württemberg has started. The work of the work in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Heilbronn, Freiburg, Baden-Baden, Esslingen and Constance affect buses and trains that should stand still on Thursday and Friday. Passengers have to adjust to significant restrictions.

Verdi negotiates new mantle agreements in almost all federal states with local local transport companies. Among other things, the union calls for a shortening of the weekly working hours and a shift allowance in the driving service. Another concern is the crediting of delays and previously unpaid travel times as working hours. Around 6,500 employees are affected by the talks. The employers have presented a new offer that Verdi rejected. The next round of negotiations will be planned for next week.
