On Friday morning there were delays on the streets around Cologne. According to the WDR, it was a total of 43 kilometers in NRW. The A4 in the direction of Cologne between Untereschbach and Bergisch Gladbach-Refrath was on seven kilometers, which led to an approximately 15-minute delay. Also on the A555 towards Cologne between Wesseling and Kreuz Köln-Süd had to be planned for about 20 minutes, since traffic jams occurred on 5 kilometers.

Special caution was offered on the A555 towards Cologne between Bornheim and Wesseling, as there was a risk of objects on the road. Drivers were asked to drive particularly carefully. On the A553 towards Bliesheim, the transition to the A61 towards Mönchengladbach was closed in the Bliesheim cross, which led to a closure and rescue work.
