Neunkirchen-Seelscheid Auto rolls from property-man injures himself when trying to stop

On Monday morning, May 5th, a traffic accident occurred in Neunkirchen-Seelscheid, which was caused by an unsecured vehicle. The incident took place in the Mohlscheid district at around 7:45 a.m. when a resident drove his Kia backwards from the garage on Meisenbacher Strasse.

After the man had left the vehicle for a short time to get something out of his house, he apparently failed to properly secure the car against rolling away. When the vehicle started to move and rolled down the entrance, the man tried to jump into the car and press the handbrake. This attempt failed and led to a slight injury to the man.

As a result of the injury, he had to be taken to a hospital for medical treatment. In the meantime, the car rolled from the entrance to the street, where it collided with a parked dodge. This resulted in an estimated total damage of around 5,000 euros on both vehicles.

The police in Siegburg has started the investigation into the course of the accident. It indicates that according to the road traffic regulations, vehicles must generally be secured against rolling away in order to ensure the safety of other road users. This incident underlines the importance of the safe handling of motor vehicles in everyday life.

Such incidents are not only dangerous for those directly affected, but can also have serious consequences for uninvolved third parties. Traffic authorities and police appeal to vehicle owners to always deal responsibly with their vehicles.
