Ten new death covers: Support in difficult times in Trossingen
On the last weekend in November 2024, ten people in Trossingen successfully completed the course for training as death managers. Among the participants were nine women and a man who are now ready to provide support in the district's hospice groups. This is particularly important because the newly trained volunteers accompany their last phase of life and their relatives are at the side during the mourning period. The course, which was carried out according to the Celler model, began in March 2024 and enables the volunteers to engage in the needs of the dying and their relatives, regardless of whether they are in their own four walls, in a nursing home or in a hospital. For more information, interested parties can contact the hospice groups in Tuttlingen, Trossingen, Heuberg, Spaichingen or Geisingen, such as the Schwäbische Zeitung reported.
In addition to the training of the death managers, the city of Trossingen also offers special training for supervisors in accordance with Section 43b and Section 53b SGB XI. This training prepares the participants to support socially helpful people in the inpatient environment, such as older people or people with dementia -related ability to capacity. The supervisors are not only responsible for accompanying everyday life, but also promote participation in social life through creative and movement -promoting activities. They also take on housekeeping activities and act as central contact persons for the supervised and their relatives, such as the Johanniter . These measures show the commitment to make a valuable contribution to social care in the region.
