Mountain guard in action: hero retting on the Feldberg and St. Blasien!
Waldshut, Deutschland - The Bergwacht Black Forest was strongly challenged last weekend after the first snow attracted winter athletes to the slopes. On Saturday, December 14th, a snowboarder had to be supplied on the seaside rail on the Feldberg after a fall. Aid was needed again on Sunday when a winter athlete fell at the Resilift. Both injuries received immediate emergency medical primary care and were safely handed over to the emergency services, such as suedkurier.de reported.
rescue actions in the rough terrain
Another challenging commitment took place on Friday when a hiker affected above St. Blasien. The mountain rescuers of the Menzenschwand and Höchenschwand contributed to the emergency medical care and transported the patient with a special mountain strage to a clearing, where she was saved with a winch. A hot deployment also took place on the same day in the forest near Blumberg-Fützen when a forest worker suffered a seizure during his forest work. Despite adverse conditions such as fog and snowstorm, the helpers managed to reach the man and bring him to the emergency services.
in Aalen was also practiced intensively in order to be prepared for similar emergencies. The DRK and the Bergwacht Aalen carried out an exercise in which different emergency scenarios such as health problems of a hiking group or an injured cyclist were simulated. The technical rescue proved to be demanding, especially when an off -road vehicle was unable to transport a patient with a carry, which resulted in additional physical exertion for the rescuers. These aspects were highlighted by schwaebische-post.de
