Benjamin Netanyahus UK trips in danger when pilots refuse to fly him

Benjamin Netanyahu was forced to postpone his visit to the UK because a number of Israeli pilots refused to fly him, according to the Telegraph.

The Israeli government was unable to find a pilot who could bring him to London after mass protests against Netanyahus had taken place extremely controversial plans to revise the Israeli legal system.

According to reports, the prime minister will later give a statement on the reforms on Thursday, and the speculation is increasing that his own Minister of Defense is willing to oppose him.

The domestic political crisis could possibly lead to Mr. Netanyahu canceled his visit to the UK when he feels forced to stay in Israel and hold his coalition government together.

A source of the British government said: "It understands that Israeli pilots have refused to bring Mr. Netanyahu to Great Britain."

A similar incident occurred during the visit of Mr. Netanyahu in Rome in March, when pilots also reported to fly him.

According to Israeli media reports, Mr. Netanyahu is said to fly on Friday morning at 4 a.m. local time after he had given up his plans to fly on Thursday evening.

Tens of thousands of Israelis have taken to the streets and have asked that Mr. Netanyahu, who was re -elected in November, ended the legal revision.

critics of his reforms claim that they would transform Israel into a "dictatorship" because they would weaken the Israeli Supreme Court and increase the influence of the government on the appointment of judges.

Mr. Netanyahu should meet Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Friday. Israeli civil servants said that the regional threat of Iran would be at the top of the agenda.

The Telegraph asked Mr. Netanyahu's office for a comment.
