Boris Johnson can't just leave Ukraine while planning a farewell trip

Boris Johnson plans a last trip to Wolodymyr Selenskyj to Ukraine before leaving Downing Street, as The Telegraph can tell, because an ally said he could not "just go away".

The Prime Minister wants to take a third trip to the Ukrainian President after a second visit last month.

The disclosure takes place after the couple had phoned on Friday. The Telegraph was informed that Mr. Zelensky said Mr. Johnson that he saw his final speech to the questions of the Prime Minister last week and appreciated his last remark: "Hasta la Vista, baby."

Mr. Johnson will leave Downing Street on September 6th. He said on Saturday that "this government has combated some of the toughest yards in modern political history".

The prime minister will make calls again this week with Mr. Selenskyj. An ally said: “He really feels the burden of responsibility he had [Mr Zelensky’s] greatest supporter. He cannot just go away and do not make sure that the world is behind him.

"He hopes to see him again before leaving his office."

The prime minister seems to be restricted some of his activities in the course of the summer, with sources say that Mr. Johnson would not speak at the ten-year Lambeth conference of the Anglican bishops and spouses that begins on Tuesday. The last two conferences, 2008 and 1998, were held by Gordon Brown and Sir Tony Blair when both prime minister were.

In photos, Mr. Johnson was seen how he posed with heavy weapons and threw a training grenade when he visited Ukrainian troops, which were trained by British armed forces in North Yorkershire.

It was said that Mr. Johnson privately believed that he will be in office again next year, even though he has announced his resignation after the MPs had requested his resignation.

Around 8,000 Tory members are said to have signed a petition in which a vote is required as to whether Mr. Johnson should remain Prime Minister.

When he spoke to his last questions from the Prime Minister last week, Mr. Johnson said: "Mission largely fulfilled - for now" before adding: "Hasta la Vista, baby."

A source said that Mr. Zelensky parotted the sentence in her conversation on Friday and said: "Hasta la Vista, baby ... love it." The ally said that the call was a "cheers" for the prime minister.

Before the third anniversary of his arrival at Downing Street, Mr. Johnson said: “The British people trust me to do the work. And while I am preparing to leave this fantastic job at number 10 after three years, I am proud to be able to say that I did exactly that with Brexit and so much more.

"Because this government combated some of the toughest yards in modern political history. We had to make some of the darkest decisions since the war. And again and again we make the big decisions."
