Roof covered and tree falls on the car: storm in Moers

The city of Moers is also affected after violent storms in North Rhine-Westphalia. The local fire brigade and the police had to deploy numerous missions.

On Sunday, serious storms passed across North Rhine-Westphalia, but also left their mark in Moers. According to initial knowledge, the police and fire brigade were in several places.

The Moers fire brigade initially reported about ten to 15 missions as a result of the storm. Trees were uprooted and in one case a tree fell on a parked car. In another mission, the fire brigade had to take care of the covered roof of a single -family house. Fortunately, according to previous knowledge by the storm, no people were harmed.

The residents of Moers are relieved that there were no injuries. Nevertheless, the effects of the storm are visible and there will be some clean -up work. The fire brigade and police have their hands full with coping with the operations.
