SV Schalding starts in the Regionalliga 2.0 with an exciting opening game against SpVgg Bayreuth

On Thursday afternoon, the regional regional league 2.0 begins for SV Schalding. The team starts with the official opening game against the third division relegation SpVgg Bayreuth. This means a big challenge for Lower Bavaria because they have to get used to the big backdrop and the supposedly overpowering opponents.

coach Stefan Köck admits that Bayreuth will certainly appear very dominant. Nevertheless, the SVS has a plan to survive against the completely renewed professional force from Upper Franconia. However, this plan remains secret, because Köck does not want to go into detail. It will be crucial to make the rooms tight, to push well and actively get over the ball, so as not to be crushed by the opponent's force.

Köck had the Bayreuther observed at their last two test games and received a comprehensive analysis of the opponent. Even if the team is good, according to Köck there is no reason to have respect or fear. On the contrary, he is looking forward to the game and hopes to be able to bring the self -confidence and swing of the previous season onto the pitch.

Unfortunately, not all players are available at the start. Markus Gallmaier, Quirin Stiglbauer and Saeed Laban are injured, Johannes Stingl has to serve a red lock from the pre-season and Alex Kurz is still in construction training.

A crucial question has already been clarified: Max Böhnke will be number 1 in the new season. The 19-year-old newcomer prevailed against promotion goalkeeper Daniel Schedlbauer. Böhnke is considered a fellow goalkeeper and loudly conducts his back team. Coach Köck did not want to reveal what was ultimately the decisive factor for Böhnke, emphasized that the decision was already communicated and justified to the goalkeepers on Monday.

The SV Schalding now hopes to come with a good start to the regional league 2.0 and to be able to assert themselves against strong opponents.
