Ramsan Kadyrov, leader of Russia's Chechnya, has threatened to attack Poland if it does not agree to withdraw his support for Ukraine.
"Ukraine is a decision. What interests me is Poland," said Mr. Kadyrov on Wednesday evening in a video message on his social media.
"What tries to achieve Poland? When Ukraine is finished, we can show you in six seconds what we are capable of if there is an order."
Poland is in the crosshairs of the Russian propaganda because of its loud support for Ukraine. Warsaw has developed into one of the most loyal allies in Ukraine in the war and pushed for an EU ban on Russian oil and gas imports.
OLEG MOROZOV, a prominent Kremlin -friendly legislator, said at the beginning of this month that Poland's support for Ukraine is "Russia to put it in the first place of denazification" - a term that the Kremlin used to describe one of his goals in Ukraine.
"Foot soldier" for Vladimir Putin
Now the country seems to have attracted Mr. Kadyrov's attention, which describes himself as the "foot soldier" by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He often channeled the deep frustration of the Kremlin over the West in a number of topics, but in a way that would be too radical for everyone in the Russian government to express them.
Mr. Kadyrov was accused of extrajudicial killings and has publicly threatened to kill his opponents.
his troops were also accused of war crimes in Ukraine. They took part in the Battle of Mariupol and were said to be one of the crew troops that civilians killed in Kiev suburbs.
Mr. Kadyrow himself has reported a few trips to the front in Mariupol, but details from the film material indicated that it was actually shot in Russia.
He also referred to an attack on Russia's ambassador in Poland at the beginning of this month on the day of victory. "They better take their weapons and mercenaries away and officially apologize to our ambassador," he warned.
