The feature film tells the story of Clara, a Sudeten Germans in 1946. After she had to flee from Marienbad, she is inevitably quartered together with her war -intended brother -in -law in an Upper Franconian village. Clara increases the rejection of the locals and the disease of the six -year -old Heidi. To make money for medication, she applies as a seasonal worker on a cherry plantation. There she meets her great love Martin, who works as an administrator. But their common plans are thwarted by the wealthy landlord Andreas von Braunfels. He offers Clara a high sum for a heir, which means that she would lose Martin.

In the leading role, Christine Neubauer, who already celebrated great success with successful productions such as "Geierwally", "The Land Harcomed" and "The Chocolate Queen". In addition to her, Götz Otto, August Schmölzer, Johanna Christine Gehlen and Claudia Messner can be seen. Director Peter Sämann made the film on the picturesque Greifenstein Castle in Upper Franconia.
