Olaf Scholz was criticized for disposing of confidential information in the garbage after neighbors in Potsdam on the outskirts of Berlin had found several papers marked as confidential on the street in front of their house.
The documents mainly refer to the Chancellor's wife Britta Ernst, Minister of Culture of the State of Brandenburg, whose capital is Potsdam.
The neighbors told German media that at first glance it was clear that the not talked documents were government reviews that were not strictly intended for the public.
The garbage, which was seen by German media, contained an information note created by the Federal Foreign Office of the country with information about the upcoming G7 summit, including details about each of the partners of the G7 leaders.
The note contained specific discussion points about Carrie Johnson, the wife of the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, including that she had studied art and had a history of environmental activism.
