A blood -blurred two -year -old loses both parents at a shootout in Chicago

A two -year -old boy who was saved alone and bloody by the shootout on July 4th outside of Chicago lost both parents in the attack, as it turned out.

It was assumed that the child identified as an aiden was separated from his mother and father, but Kevin (37) and Irina McCarthy (35) were performed by the police on Tuesday as under the seven victims.

Social Media users divided pictures of Aiden in the hours after the attack on a parade on the independence day in the area of Highland Park in Illinois, in the hope of combining him with his family.

In the pictures, the child could be seen with the blond curls, which clung to a blanket for comfort while his socks and shoes seemed to be covered with dried blood.

Witnesses Lauren Silva and her friend, who had found the toddler, just came from an underground car park on Paradeplatz when the shots fell above them. They discovered Aiden, who was trapped under the body of a man, which is assumed that he is his father.

Silva's partner pulled out the boy and handed him over to her while trying to stop the man's bone.

During the city's independence ceremony, seven people were killed by semi -automatic shots and injured more than 30.

The alleged shooter, called 21-year-old Robert Crimo, was charged with seven times murder.

"We just opened the door to go up the stairs and we heard it - boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. It sounded like someone was hammering on the glass doors," she said.

They suspected that the seriously injured man she saw on the street was about the boy's father.

"My friend gave me this little boy and said he was under his father who was shot in the leg," she said to The Daily Beast.

"You tried to stop the bleeding, so I brought the boy down into the garage."

Silva, 38, mother of two children, said she had removed his scratches and tried to calm him down before handing over to the police officer.

"He kept asking whether mom and dad will come back soon," she said.

A gofundme page had reached the billionaire Bill Ackman and other $ 1.5 million at the time of writing this article.

Four other victims were called on Tuesday afternoon by the forensic doctor: Katherine Goldstein, 88; Jacquelyn Sundheim, 63; Stephan Straus, 88; and Nicolas Toledo-Zaragoza, 78.

A seventh victim who died in the hospital on Tuesday was not mentioned.

The family of the 76-year-old grandfather Nicholas Toledo born in Mexico confirmed his death on Monday afternoon.
