I took the blood and smeared it with it: The 11-year-old Uvalde survivor says before the congress

An 11-year-old survivor of the shootout in the Uvalde School told the Congress how she escaped by smearing her murdered girlfriend.

Miah Cerrillo, a fourth grader of the Robb primary school in Uvalde, Texas, told of the horror, in which 19 of her classmates and two teachers were shot by an 18-year-old shooter.

In a recorded video message, the busy young girl spoke calmly and vigorously before hearing the congress about weapons.

she said: "We just watched a film and then she [My Teacher] got an email. And then she went to complete the door, and he [The Gunman] was in the hallway, and they looked at each other. And then she went back to the room and told us that we should hide.

"And then we hid behind the teacher desk and hidden behind the backpacks.

"Then he shot onto the small window and then went into the other classroom. There is a door between our classrooms. He went through and shot at my teacher. And told my teacher 'good night' and shot her head.
