KSC members frustrated: Ticket start is delayed
Ticket start for the members of the KSC
On July 5, the second phase of pre-sale for the Liverpool game of the KSC in the new stadium started. From 12 noon, the members of the association had the opportunity to secure up to two tickets for the opening game against Liverpool FC. However, there were technical difficulties at the beginning. The association's website was temporarily unavailable because the demand was too great.
Many fans then expressed their frustration on Facebook. The KSC announced on its Facebook page that the ticket sale for members had started, whereupon the comments with frustrated reactions and reports about problems with the online ticket shop.
About half an hour later the club reacted and switched the website into the "maintenance mode". There the fans found a direct link to the ticket shop. At this point there were already more than 5,000 people in the waiting area.
Already at the beginning of the first phase on June 28th, the rush to tickets for the game against Jürgen Klopp's team was great. Numerous season ticket holders were temporarily in the queue to secure their place in the new stadium. This option ended in the morning of July 5th at 10 a.m.
In the second phase of advance booking, members of the KSC now have the opportunity to acquire up to two tickets for the game. On July 10th, some remaining tickets will also go to the free sale. The association expects around 3,000 tickets available.
It remains to be seen how quickly the technical difficulties can be remedied and how many fans can ultimately get the coveted tickets.
