New changes in bus line traffic from July 10th: express bus lines and additional trips

by bus from Delitzsch to Schkeuditz in 39 minutes - that and more is possible from July 10th in the line traffic of the district of North Saxony. As part of the mobility project "Strengthening commuter mobility in Leipzig and the surrounding area - actively promoting mobility and traffic transition" are introduced to several new offers that are primarily intended to address commuters.

The innovations include two new express bus lines, which should enable a better connection between the numerous companies in the city of Schkeuditz. In addition, additional trips are offered on the existing bus lines 196 (Bad Düben - Leipzig) and 217 (Delitzsch - Schkeuditz). This shortens, for example, the travel time from Delitzsch to Schkeuditz from 69 to just 39 minutes.

The changes in line traffic should offer bus commuters in northern Saxony an improved connection and more flexibility. In particular, the shortened travel time between Delitzsch and Schkeuditz and the hourly time to Bad Düben on weekends are received positively by the passengers.

The introduction of the new offers is a step to promote mobility and traffic transition in the region. The aim of the mobility project is to strengthen commuter mobility in Leipzig and the surrounding area and to promote alternative means of transport to individual transport.

However, the implementation of the new offers in local public transport is subject to a fee. The exact tariffs and ticket prices can be requested from the transport companies.
