The Cologne private broadcaster RTL surprisingly announced not to radiate the "night documentary" from next week. This decision comes just as short -term as the introduction of the format in autumn 2021. Documentation on various topics were shown on Tuesdays to Fridays after the "Nachtjournal". But now the broadcaster has decided to put this label.

In the coming week, the documentaries "in the footsteps of the environmental offenders-on the way with the garbage police", "The apartment-object of desire" and "SOS on the housing market" were actually planned. For the first week of August, "hunters of the lost treasures", "when the dead get a face" and "the most modern roller coaster in the world" should be broadcast. But RTL has now deleted these films at short notice.

Instead of the "night documentary", the broadcaster will continue to rely on repetitions of the US crime series "CSI: Miami", which already fills out a large part of the night program. The documentation, on the other hand, usually only achieved moderate odds, so it is surprising that RTL has held on this format for so long.
