Serious traffic accident on the B14 near Roßtal - two drivers seriously injured

Roßtal (ots) - On Tuesday afternoon, a serious traffic accident occurred on the B14 in the area of ​​the Roßtal municipal part of Buchschwabach. Both drivers were seriously injured.

The accident occurred around 2:45 p.m. when a 56-year-old driver drove a VW Passat on the B14 from Buchschwabach towards Großweismannsdorf. For the reason that has so far been unexplained, the vehicle got into oncoming traffic shortly after the output and collided head -on with an oncoming Ford Transit. Both the 56-year-old driver of the VW and the 36-year-old driver of the Ford Transit suffered serious injuries. Both were brought to surrounding hospitals by the emergency services.

The traffic police are currently carrying out the accident recording, supported by an expert on the order of the public prosecutor. The police secured the two badly damaged accident vehicles. The affected section of the B14 is currently blocked by the Buchschwabach and Roßtal fire departments. The lock is expected to be maintained until at least 6:00 p.m.
