The Warn app Nina reported the power failure at 3 p.m. on Friday (July 14th) with the reference "Failure power supply-Geseke". The area around the Geseke train station and Delbrücker Straße were affected by the interruption. According to information from the district control center, a defect in a 10 kilovolt line was the cause of the power failure.

The repair work went quickly and the control center was able to give the all -clear at 3:30 p.m. - the electricity was back. Fortunately, the failure was short -lived and the residents were able to quickly use their usual power supply again.

Unfortunately Geseke is not the only city in the region that had to deal with power outages this year. The city of Werl was particularly affected, where there were already several failures. A fire broke out in a distribution box in March, in April a brief power failure caused impairments in parts of the city center. Shortly afterwards, an unfortunate incident caused a failure in two villages with a "Erdraket". In May there were further disorders in which large parts of the city center were without electricity.

power failures are always annoying for the people concerned and can lead to considerable inconvenience. It is all the more gratifying that the repair could be carried out quickly in Geseke and the electricity was available again in the shortest possible time.

It remains to be hoped that there will be fewer failures in the future and that the power supply for the residents in Gese and the entire region will work smoothly.
