Survey tracker for the French elections 2022: Emmanuel Macron's lead disappear when Marine Le Pen celebrates her comeback

Surveys show that the race for France's next president is intensified with the closer election day.

The lead of Emmanuel Macron has shrunk in the past few weeks, since the opponents see an increase in support in the eleventh hour both from the extreme right and the extreme left.

Nevertheless, Mr. Macron still lasts first place after seeing an increase in his numbers after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The French presidential election is divided into two rounds, the first takes place on April 10th.

The two best candidates from this result then enter a direct runoff on April 24th.

Apart from a political catastrophe at the last minute, Mr. Macron is almost guaranteed that he makes it into the second round.

his old rival Marine Le Pen, the leader of the right -wing extremist National Rally, currently occupies second place, which indicates that a new edition of the second round of 2017 could take place when Macron hit 66 percent of the vote to 34 percent

Nah behind Ms. Le Pen is Jean-Luc Mélenchon, a fiery left one who represents France Unweded, who also ran in 2017.

Both candidates have experienced an increase in their survey values in the past few days, since Mr. Macron's upswing begins to let up from the Ukraine War.

Your rise seems to have gone at the expense of Eric Zemmour, a candidate of the extreme right who originally challenged Le Pen for second place.

Mr. Zemmour from Reconquest! dominated the early day of the campaign, received media reporting with provocative statements about immigration and Islam in France and at times Ms. Le Pen in the surveys last year.

In the meantime, his popularity has shrunk and he can find himself between third and fourth place with the center-right candidate Valérie Pécresse.

Ms. Pécresse almost took second place at the end of last year, which would have been a turn for her center-right party, the Republican-historically a government party in France who has experienced a breakdown of support in recent years.

Their growing insignificance fades compared to that of Anne Hidalgo from the socialists whose closest related labour is in the UK.

When Ms. Le Pen makes it into the second round, she is still facing a tough fight, since according to surveys, Mr. Macron will take over half of the votes when they compete against each other.

However,

Ms. Le Pen is the candidate who comes closest to Mr. Macron and is well on the way to improve her performance in 2017.

The lead of Mr. Macron in the second round is still comfortable - especially to Mr. Zemmour, who, according to surveys among the top candidates, has so far performed the worst.
