The German Environmental Aid (DUH) has found a greatly increased number of nitrogen oxide limit values for exhaust gas measurements on various BMW models. A BMW 525D produces, for example, a 32-fold amount of nitrogen oxide emissions than is allowed in the Euro 5 standard. The DUH calls for the publication of all exhaust gas measurements and the immediate decommissioning of affected vehicles or the “arrangement of official hardware retrofitting”. BMW, on the other hand, explained that the DUH had repeated old allegations and similar allegations had already been refuted in the past. BMW does not use the detection of exhaust gas test stands influencing emission behavior.
