Full closure after truck collision on A13 in the direction of travel Berlin
... involved in a rear -end collision. Around 9:50 a.m. there was a collision, which luckily no people were injured.
The accident occurred on the A13 in the direction of Berlin. Due to a traffic jam, traffic stood still between the villages of Freiwalde and Staakow. Suddenly three truck saddle trains crashed together, with considerable damage to property.
The exact cause of the accident is still unclear. The police have started the investigation to clarify the course of the rear -end collision. However, the first assumptions assume that inattentive driving one of the truck drivers involved could have caused the collision.
The fire brigade was quickly on site to secure the scene of the accident and bind leakage liquids. The damaged semitrailers were then recovered by a towing service. The highway remained closed for several hours to carry out the rescue work and redirect traffic.
Fortunately, no people were injured in the collision. Nevertheless, the accident caused a long traffic jam that stretched over several kilometers. Commuters and travelers had to adjust to significant delays. In this context, the police again warn against the distance and carelessness in road traffic. Especially in stagnant traffic, a rear -end collision can happen quickly if there is not enough safety distance from the vehicle in front. Therefore, the police appeal to all road users to adapt the speed to the traffic conditions and always drive carefully. Especially when it comes to traffic jams or stagger traffic, it is advisable to enlarge the safety distance in order to be able to react in good time in an emergency.
The accident on the A13 in the direction of Berlin again illustrates the dangers in road traffic. It is important that all road users are aware of their responsibility and always adhere to the traffic rules. This is the only way to ensure security on the streets.
