A 22-year-old motorcyclist was fatal on Saturday afternoon on the Birkhau traffic training area near Lindorf. It is already the second fatal accident on the pitch within a week.

According to the investigation by the traffic police, the young woman drove shortly before 12 noon with a Husqvarna FS 450 as part of a supermoto training on a slightly sloping road. During a left curve, she lost control of the motorcycle and drove up a mound of earth, causing it and the bike was levered out.

Despite medical care by first aiders, emergency services and a rescue helicopter, the motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident. The motorcycle was secured and towed.

Within a week, two fatal accidents occurred on the Birkhau traffic training area. Motorcycles were involved in both accidents. The chairman of the Motorsport Club Kirchheim (Mckt), Bernhard Luz, emphasizes that the accidents have nothing to do with the security of the square. These are driving errors that could also occur in normal road traffic.

The Birkhau traffic training area, which is operated by the McCht in the ADAC, has not yet been considered to be an accident. For the coming week, the MCKT has canceled its club training out of respect. On the pitch can practice beginners with private vehicles, external events and training are also possible. The Super-Moto drivers form the largest group in the Mkkt and train regularly on the traffic training area.
