Bouldering in Tailfingen: New hall opens before Christmas!

A new bouldering mecca is being built in Tailfingen! The Dolomiti Boulder Box, the only bouldering hall in the Zollernalb district, is moving and, at 1700 square meters, becomes the largest of its kind in southwestern Germany. Managing Director Peter Reusch and his wife Christine have transformed a former textile factory into a climbing paradise. "The old hall was simply too small and the connection to public transport was insufficient," explains Reusch. The move is not only a spatial magnification, but also an answer to the increasing demand in climbing, which is becoming increasingly popular in Germany.

The opening of the new hall is planned for for Christmas! The old bouldering box in Pfeffingen will remain open until November 25th before it closes forever. In Tailfingen, in addition to high walls and handles, there will also be a special area for children and families, which is particularly advantageous for children's birthdays. "It should be a real meeting point," emphasizes Reusch, who also plans a climbing bar with high-quality dishes and drinks. The hall is also equipped with a yoga and sports room that is already used for courses.

Bouldering for all age groups

Bouldering is not just a sport for the boys! Reusch reports on groups with participants in their 50s and 60s who regularly visit the bouldering box. "You get a feeling of addiction," he says of the fascination of bouldering, which many do not let go after the first time. In the new hall, innovative elements such as shining handles are introduced to make the routes even more exciting. Dogs are very welcome in the Bouldering Hall, and if you don't have a climbing shoes, you can borrow them on site - another advantage over classic climbing!
