In the Zollernalbkreis, the focus is on the care: From October 7th to 11th, 2024, numerous events take place that invite citizens to participate. This “week of care” should not only inform, but also promote the exchange between nurses, relatives and interested parties.
The care faces enormous challenges, especially through demographic change. In the Zollernalb district, the population is an average of 44.9 years old, which makes the region the second oldest in the country. The district recognized this and actively deals with the topic, which is also reflected in the planning of the events.
versatile events on the subject of care
The start on Monday, October 7th, a film screening of the drama "Ivo" in the Bali cinema in Balingen. The film is about a palliative nurse that accompanies people in their last days. The performance for nursing students takes place in the morning, but all other interested parties can also experience the drama at 5 and 7:30 p.m. In the foyer of the cinema, an information offer is provided that informs visitors about the services of the nursing base and the hospice group. Tickets can be purchased directly at the cash register.
On Wednesday, October 9th, the municipal nursing and health conference will take place in the boardroom of the district office. Focused on digital solutions, experts like Jörg Schiemann present modern applications such as electronic patient files and care apps. Interested visitors also have the option of practically trying out these technologies in the digital Health Truck of the Bosch Digital Innovation Hub. A digital health fair will also take place here in which local actors take part.
On Thursday, October 10th, with the lecture "Everything about care". At 4 p.m., experts from the district administration, the nursing base and the SKM Zollern explain the various aspects of nursing, including advice on legal care and powers of powers. All interested parties are cordially invited to ask their questions.
For relatives and nurses, two free workshops are offered. On Thursday, October 10, Beate Scheer will deal with the topic of "challenging behavior and communication in people with dementia". The workshop in Burladingen takes place from 2 to 5 p.m. in the habitats for young and old (Schlossgasse 3). On Friday, October 11th, another meeting will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the meeting place of the association to promote Altenhilfe (Hangergasse 68). Interested parties should register in good time.
In addition, there is a training course for practice instructors for diversity in nursing as well as an information event on neighborhood work for representatives of cities and municipalities. These events offer the opportunity to think about the organization of living together in different generations.
