Edeka in Tuttlingen closes: reopening with a fresh concept on September 8th!
A lot is happening in Tuttlingen! The Edeka market on Neuhauser Straße is closing its doors, but don't worry - it's only for a short time. The first renovation work to bring the culinary hotspot into shape will take place from August 29th to September 7th, 2025. From September 8th, the market will shine under new management from the Milkau family, who already run the bakery on site.
The takeover of Edeka Siedler had been in the works for some time. Edeka Siedler's children had no interest in continuing the business. As a result, the market is now managed by Holger Milkau, who is looking forward to a comprehensive modernization and realignment, including a modern market atmosphere. The current focus is on regional products and an attractive range. A total of around 800 m² of sales space is available and around 30 employees will continue to be part of the team e-milkau.de reported.
New offer and a breath of fresh air
Before reopening, the cooling system in the store will be replaced, which will lead to small delivery delays. The new freezer shelf will not be installed until a week later and the dairy product shelf will be installed around a month after the reopening. But don't panic - the restructuring should ultimately only reward the customers!
The Milkau family has already made a name for itself in the surrounding area. It operates several Edeka markets in the region, including locations in Immendingen, Emmingen-Liptingen, Aldingen and Blumberg. A new market in Trossingen was taken over in July 2023. A total of 90 employees from both locations in Tuttlingen and Trossingen will be taken on here, with the aim of securing or creating a total of 100 jobs by the end of the year. At least ten new positions are on the horizon.
Creating new jobs and larger projects
The planned e-center in Tuttlingen on Weimarstrasse, which is currently under construction, will create an additional 100 new jobs. The overall goal of the Milkau family is to secure or create a total of 450 jobs in the region by 2027. Even though construction work at the Tuttlingen site has been underway for some time, there are slight delays due to potential historical discoveries. Fortunately, the archaeological monument office has not yet presented any remarkable finds.
The renovation of the Edeka market in Trossingen is planned for spring 2026 and also promises a breath of fresh air. The entire region can look forward to many positive changes - and customers even more so when the market on Neuhauser Straße opens its doors with a new freshness on September 8th. Finally, it should also be mentioned that karriere-edeka.de even more information about store planning is available!
Tuttlingen's hope for a modernized shopping experience is within reach. We can't wait to see what awaits us!
