Successful species protection: LBV Aichach-Friedberg celebrates doubling!

A pleasant day for nature lovers in the Aichach-Friedberg district! At the recently held annual general meeting of the State Association for Bird Protection (LBV), Stefan Höpfel was re-elected chairman of the district group with great support. This not only shows the trust of the members, but also the positive development of the organization. The LBV has big plans to promote species and biotope protection and to further expand environmental education. The association is pursuing these goals with fresh enthusiasm and a newly expanded board of directors in order to strengthen the management team and consolidate the successful work in these areas.

Chairman Höpfel proudly announced in his report that the number of members has more than doubled since 2018. A sign that the commitment to nature is alive in the region. In addition, the area under care in the district has also more than doubled, which represents a significant improvement in the infrastructure for nature conservation. There are currently 13 active working groups working to protect our native species.

An anniversary and thanks to the members

One of the highlights of the year was certainly the district group's 30th anniversary, which was duly celebrated. On this occasion, Höpfel warmly thanked all members for their commitment. Their tireless efforts are crucial for protecting biodiversity in the region. Not only are the numbers encouraging, but the passion and interest of the members also provide a solid basis for the LBV's future projects.

There is great anticipation of future challenges. The LBV plans to continue to do all it can to protect species and biotopes and to intensify environmental education. This is an essential task that is important not only for nature but also for future generations.

International exchange and know-how

As the realignment of the LBV has shown, exchange across institutions is important. In the spirit of global knowledge, Daniel Rocha, a senior software engineer from São Paulo, Brazil, is an example of international exchange within the association. Rocha not only brings technical expertise, but has also gained valuable experience at various organizations such as Pactor Technologies and Fundação José de Paiva Netto.

Such connections in particular show how important it is to combine knowledge and use of resources in order to take the protection of our environment to a new level. The diverse experiences and perspectives can make a big difference when it comes to adapting global trends in environmental protection.

Overall, it can be said that the State Association for Bird Protection in the Aichach-Friedberg district is on a very good path. With a strong community, clear goals and an aggressive approach to species and biotope protection, the future will also be promising.
