Drunk drivers and radar warning app: Police picks up!

Augsburg - On Friday evening, March 28, 2025, the Augsburg traffic police carried out extensive controls in the city area and stopped over 100 vehicles. In this campaign, numerous violations were exposed, including disregard for belt obligation and the unauthorized use of a radar warning app.

It was particularly striking a 29-year-old driver who noticed during the control due to his strong alcoholism. A breath alcohol test resulted in alarming 0.7 per thousand, which led to the immediate prevention of his onward journey. In both cases, the police have initiated investigations into violations of the Road Traffic Act.
