Overloaded truck on A8: Driver has to unload 17 tons of wood!

In the night from Monday to Tuesday, April 22, 2025, a 50-year-old truck driver was stopped on the A8 motorway near Gersthofen. The van was loaded with beech wood in the brim and exceeded the permissible weight by more than 17,000 kilograms - this corresponds to an excessive load of around 40%!

The police officers reacted immediately and prevented the ride of the heavily overloaded vehicle. This successfully averted a potential risk of security on the highway. The driver now has to adjust to legal consequences.
