The 68-year-old driver noticed smoke out of the bonnet at around 3:00 p.m. and quickly acted: he left the B17 and parked the vehicle in a parking space to get to safety. When the police arrived, high flames were already blazing from the engine compartment.

The fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire in good time, but a considerable property damage of an estimated 40,000 euros was incurred. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident.
