Swedish women's national team: Training in Cham starts soon!

The Eizmoos sports facility in Cham has become the contact point for the Swedish women's national team. The team will begin preparations for the UEFA Women's Euro 2025 on June 29, 2025, and SC Cham, the municipality of Cham and the OYM are looking forward to the sporting challenge. Christina Lindgren from SC Cham emphasizes: “We are proud to host a team that is one of the best in the world,” as on Regional football reported.

Under the leadership of coach Peter Gerhardsson, the team, known by the nickname “Blågult” (The Blue and Yellow), will set up their official base camp at the top sports center OYM. Here the team is preparing for the upcoming games, with training times set from June 29th to July 10th. Most of the units are not public, but a special highlight will be the public training on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., where a small fan zone will also be set up in Bistro1910.

Public training and fan zone

The public training offers fans and interested parties the opportunity to take part in the players' preparations up close. To ensure a smooth visit, spectators should arrive early and use public transport if possible. There are no parking spaces around the Eizmoos stadium, but the Papieri and Neudorf car parks and other options in the center of Cham are available. The stadium can be reached on foot from the town center in about 20-25 minutes. There is also a direct bus connection to the Cham, Eizmoos stop, bus line 642.

Team background and achievements

The Swedish women's national football team is not only very successful regionally, but also has a great reputation internationally. The team is from Swedish Football Association (Svenska Fotbollförbundet) controls and can already look back on an impressive history. They are considered one of the best teams in the world, with a title as European champions in 1984 and a runner-up in the World Cup in 2003.
