Beiersdorf Citizens' Association: Celebrate successes and strengthen membership!

The Beiersdorf Citizens' Association showed its best side at its annual general meeting in the “Zum Schwarzen Bären” inn. In bright sunshine and a full hut, around 50 members expressed their enthusiasm and commitment. Mayor Dominik Sauerteig and his two deputies Hans-Herbert Hartan and Can Aydin were also present to properly honor the most successful projects of the past year. Chairman Oliver Lederer was pleased about an increase in the number of members from 270 to 278, which gives the club additional tailwind. He urgently campaigned to win even more citizens for membership in order to be able to actively represent the interests of Beiersdorf.

Last year's events were well received by members. These included the playground festival for young families, the “Serenade at Goldbergsee”, the village fair and not forgetting the popular “Music under the Christmas tree” campaign. Another highlight was the 34th Maypole Festival, which was organized in collaboration with other Beiersdorf clubs and attracted large numbers of visitors. The maypole was donated by the forest corporation, which is a sign of the strong community. The local helpers ensured that the festival ran smoothly - from setting up the maypole to providing food and drinks.

Important projects and awards

A central concern of the citizens' association was the implementation of the Beiersdorf bypass, which has already had a noticeable impact on through traffic. The renovation of Rodacher Straße is also on the agenda; In addition to replacing the water pipes, the road surfaces are also being renewed. These measures are not only urgent, they also contribute to improving the quality of life in Beiersdorf. The replacement of the main drinking water pipe has already begun and the associated sewer work is planned for the beginning of August.

Two long-standing members received special recognition during the annual general meeting: Manfred Hübner was honored for his 50 years of membership, while Klaus Hut was honored for 25 years in the club. Both received a certificate and a small present, a great end to a successful meeting in which the words of thanks for the committed volunteers were emphasized by everyone present.

Looking into the future

The citizens' association not only has a stable foundation, it is also optimistic about the future. The next events have already been planned: The “Goldbergsee Serenade” will take place on May 31st and the popular playground festival will be organized on June 29th. Collaboration between the Beiersdorf clubs is becoming increasingly important, and it is clear that local commitment is growing significantly. Interested citizens are cordially invited to get actively involved and become part of a vibrant community.

The “Engaged City” initiative, which was launched in 2015, also plays an important role when it comes to civic engagement. This comprehensive approach promotes cooperation between civil society, politics and administration. There is now an extensive network that aims to continuously improve the framework conditions for civic engagement, which the Beiersdorf initiative also shows as a good example.

Overall, it can be said that the Beiersdorf Citizens' Association is building on a solid foundation of its previous successes and is starting the coming months with a lot of momentum. The commitment of the numerous volunteers is an important pillar that not only makes events possible, but also promotes a lively and solidarity-based community. With a great annual program and forward-looking projects, Beiersdorf can look forward to an exciting time.
